It’s our 1st Birthday!

Bandit Touring is happy to announce that we have been on the road for a year now and the business is growing! Last summer we introduced the second vehicle to our fleet which now includes both 10 and 12 seater vans. We would like to say a big thank you to all of you who have chosen to travel with Bandit Touring so far including Bluejuice, Mick Fleetwood, Sydney Theatre Company, Karvivool and Eddy Current Suppression Ring to name a few.

We really appreciate all of you who have helped the business grow over the last year and those of you who have recommended our services to your colleagues.

For those of you thinking about hiring a Bandit Transit van VS the usual Hiace or Tarago you should know that unlike the others, Bandit Touring offers a 1.5 cubic meter storage cabin for all equipment and luggage as well as a 17” TV screen, CD & DVD Player, 240v and 12v power outlets for charging laptops/phones, tinted windows and dual air conditioning for comfort on those long drives between venues. Bandit Touring Vans can be driven on a normal car licence and offer unlimited kilometres, NO admin fees, NO vehicle rego fees and FREE Sat Nav.

Our availabilities are filling daily as we head into winter so please call to discuss your transport needs.

Q. What is a Splitter van?

A. Fast (turbo diesel), comfortable, practical, reliable and affordable, our Splitter Vans are long wheel base Mercedes Sprinters custom fitted with 8 – 12 comfy seats that provide personal space, reading lights, 240v power (computer and phone recharge), tinted windows and curtains, Digital TV/DVD/Stereo, Sat Nav, and in some cases games console inputs and fridges. At the rear wheel arches is a floor to ceiling bulkhead behind which is over 1.8 cubic meters of storage space accessed via the rear double doors. This area provides privacy and security for personal, luggage, band equipment, or any other articles accompanying the passengers.

At Bandit we offer the vehicles on a self drive hire basis. Do the math. One van, one (diesel) fuel bill, one driver, no airfares, no excess freight charges, no back line hire equals a more profitable tour and one done in relative comfort whilst relaxing to music, sleeping, watching a DVD, using your laptop, and allowing the TM to get online and work. Use it as a day room at a festival or venue, or a crew vehicle.

Australian inter city distances make Bandit Splitter Vans a comfortable and affordable alternative to the Tarago/Hiace 12 seater/ Trailer option long tolerated by uncomfortable artists and crews, and an affordable alternative to the higher cost of today’s air travel excess charges.
